There are two ways to install the Microsoft Teams app :

  1. Request the latest version of the app as a Zip file from [email protected]

  2. Search and install the app from the Microsoft Teams app catalogue

Installing from a Zip file

You will need to request a copy of the latest version of as a Zip file by sending an email request to [email protected]

  • Login to your Office 365 admin portal ( using an account that has administrative level access.

  • Depending on your dashboard view, on the left hand side select "Teams" under Admin centre.

  • You will be prompted to sign in to Teams, ensuring this account has administrative level access once again.

  • You should now be presented with the Microsoft Teams dashboard.

  • Depending on your dashboard, on the left hand side select "Teams apps".

  • Select "Manage apps".

  • You will now be presented with all the apps that you have installed and therefore available to your end users (this depends on your organization's internal policies).

  • On the same screen, select the upload option.

  • You will now be prompted to upload a custom app (you need to ensure that this is enabled within your policies).

  • Select the file location of where you downloaded the latest version of Zip file.

  • Once you have selected the Zip file and the installation is in progress you should see a green banner that lets you know when has successfully been added.
