Step 1: Create Eric.ai account
Follow our step-by-step guide to create an Eric.ai account for Microsoft Teams.
⚠️ Please note: you must have a Microsoft 365 Business subscription and global admin rights to successfully install Eric.ai
Step 2: Invite your team members
Go to the “Admin” tab on the left menu of your Eric.ai dashboard and select the "User Management" tab. Enter the email of the person you would like to add to your organization and press the “Invite” button. They will receive your invite, which is valid for 24 hours.
Step 3: Have your first meeting with Eric.ai
Let Eric.ai handle your next virtual meeting - it'll automatically join the lobby for 5 minutes and wait to be admitted.
You can also invite Eric.ai by adding [email protected] to your calendar invite, or you can open the Eric.ai sidebar during your Microsoft Teams meeting instead.
There are three ways to invite Eric.ai into your meetings:
Eric will join at the scheduled time if you add [email protected] to your calendar invite. Make sure your invite includes the Microsoft Teams joining URL (this is added automatically if you create the calendar event within Microsoft Teams). You will receive an email confirming or rejecting your invitation.
Eric will join instantly if you copy and paste the Microsoft Teams joining URL into the Quick Invite box (located at the bottom of the navigation bar in your dashboard).
Eric will also join instantly if you open the Eric.ai sidebar in your meeting and click the Join Now button on the sidebar.
Recurring meetings
If you invite Eric.ai to a recurring meeting calendar invite (a meeting that repeats in your calendar), Eric.ai will join each instance of the meeting automatically. The series of meetings will be conveniently linked up in Eric.ai so you can navigate between meetings and see the outcomes of your previous meeting(s) when needed.
Step 4: Meet Eric.ai
You can now start to benefit from the features below:
Make use of the sidebar
Open the Eric.ai app in your live Microsoft Teams meeting and you'll see the meeting information in the sidebar on the right of the window:
Button to open the meeting page (opens in a new window)
Button to share the meeting page with your invitees
Your time-boxed agenda (if assigned to the meeting)
Real-time participation of your invitees
Action items that are created automatically using the voice command
Actions items that you can create manually within the sidebar
Your meeting page
Every meeting that Eric.ai joins will have an associated meeting page created. These pages are all available from your My Meetings page. Your meeting pages include:
General meeting details including time, date and invitees
Meeting agenda
Real-time (searchable) transcription
Real-time participation
Meeting minutes download
Meeting summary that includes automatic highlights, automatic topics, participation and a "Quick View" shortened recording of your meeting
Action items
Take actions
You can create action items using your voice or manually. To create an action item by voice, you can say the "Action Item" command followed by the task and you can optionally include an assignee and due date. For example, if you say "Action Item I will water the garden tomorrow" it will create a new task as described which is assigned to you and is due at tomorrow's date.
You can also create and edit action items manually from the meeting page or the Microsoft Teams sidebar.
